Donate Frequent Flyer Miles

If you have frequent flier miles accumulated that perhaps you don't need please consider gifting them to GoHaiti. We aren't only interested in carriers that fly in and out of Haiti. We can use reward miles to book travel to speaking engagements across the United States and Canada.

Please contact GoHaiti to determine what you have available and what our upcoming travel needs are. We will then coordinate with you the process for booking the rewards travel in the appropriate user's name since most airlines do not allow miles to be randomly transferred, nor do they want award tickets going to anyone not specifically determined by the program member.

The IRS recognizes award points and miles as a gift or an award from the corporation to the individual. Therefore, points and Frequent Flier miles donated to charity are not considered tax deductible.

Non-Cash Donations

Not all gifts made to Generations of Hope, Haiti Inc. are in the form of cash. A donor may donate appreciated assets (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), real estate, tangible property, artwork, literature and books, automobiles, or other non-cash items of worth. There may be tax incentives in the types and timing of non-cash gifts. The IRS rules that govern the receiving and receipting of non-cash items can be complex. Please contact GoHaiti before making a non-cash gift to avoid making a costly error.
